I created this unique piece for the holiday of Hanukkah in preparation for a pop-up exhibit with Stars In The Arts. Featuring a motif known in Hebrew as Eitz Chaim, or Tree of Life, the tree is a popular symbol across multiple cultures. A metaphor for Am Yisrael, or the Jewish people, the deep roots symbolize the trans-generational relationship of Jewish continuity; the ancient wisdom, values, language and spirituality of Jewish civilization across time. From its trunk the tree forms a Star of David, and from that, a menorah sprouting blossoming flowers.
